Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Nurse with expertise in long-term care to join our team at Green Hill Senior Living and Rehabilitation. As a Regional Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

About the Role

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a Long-Term Care setting or equivalent experience as a Surveyor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geriatrics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Regional Nurse will be responsible for providing expert advice and oversight to facility management personnel and line staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes conducting quality assurance audits, identifying and addressing deficiencies, and developing recommendations for improvement.

You will also be responsible for delivering ongoing clinical training to facility staff, managing client issues, and assisting with the onboarding process for new facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate regulatory compliance and determine clinical education needs for clients related to pharmacy services
  • Conduct quality assurance audits to aid clients with preparation for successful, compliant state surveys
  • Identify and provide recommendations regarding deficiencies and opportunities around drug inventories, storage, and distribution
  • Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care
  • Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit, and training
  • Provide Quality Reviews and other nursing consultant services
  • Deliver ongoing clinical training to facility staff
  • Manage resolution of client issues and requests
  • Assist with activities associated with onboarding new facilities
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of practice
  • Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics
  • Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth, and development
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, and policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care
  • Capable of researching new methods and principles to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
Work Environment

This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring regular walking to various locations around the care center. You may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and infections from patients and specimens in the working environment.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
