Senior Quality and Safety Director

Job Summary:

TRAX International seeks a Senior Quality and Safety Director to provide senior leadership and overall direction for the contractor's quality, safety, and environmental programs. The ideal candidate will partner with the DPG WDTC Safety Office, WDTC Directorates, and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to ensure cohesiveness with WDTC quality and safety approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the DPG Safety Office and TRAX Managers to ensure effective quality and safety management.
  • Investigate mishaps/accidents and develop a broad safety education program.
  • Coordinate safety indoctrination training for all new employees and develop safety documentation for specific work areas or tasks.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and prepare reports for accidents/incidents.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree with at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager on a Government contract.
  • Experience in government contracts, including general contract quality management in safety, training, and property management.
  • Proficiency in using MS Project or similar project management software.

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field.
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods.
  • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
