About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Dietitian to join our team at IMG Academy. As a key member of our sports science department, you will be responsible for providing world-class nutrition services to our student-athletes and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the fueling of our IMG Academy student-athletes to optimize their performance and well-being.
  • Travel with teams as necessary to both in-state and out-of-state competitions to provide on-site nutrition support.
  • Develop and deliver practical, educational, and entertaining nutrition content to groups and individuals of various ages and sports backgrounds.
  • Design and implement a 10-month nutrition curriculum to integrate within a sport, ensuring a comprehensive and holistic approach to athlete development.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group sessions for full-time student-athletes, camp athletes, adult athletes, and professional athletes, as indicated.
  • Promote the value of nutrition for performance to sports, coaches, and athletes on campus, ensuring a culture of nutrition awareness and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine, Mental Performance, Sport Science, and Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) teams to optimize performance and recovery.
  • Integrate and coordinate with the APD team of specialists to best service the athletes and promote a team approach to education and support.
  • Assist in delivering the strategy for supplementation at IMG Academy, ensuring a safe and effective approach to athlete nutrition.
  • Provide coach education and work collaboratively with various departments across campus to promote the value of nutrition education.
  • Support and deliver IMG Institute events as required.
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
  • State licensure in FL (LD) or state licensure eligibility within 30 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, or related field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills.
  • Understanding of the latest research in the field of sports nutrition.
  • Experience building menu and catering needs for athletes to maximize athletic performance.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements, including body weight and height.
  • Experience with nutrient analysis software.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences.
  • Read/write/speak and understand English.
  • Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nutrition care.
  • Good math skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to use PC and related software.
  • Ability to understand rules of various sports governing bodies regarding restricted substances and supplements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in nutrition or exercise-related field.
  • CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics) certification.
  • Multi-lingual.
  • Experience working with a youth population.
  • Experience with Teamworks and Smartabase suite of products, including Teamworks Nutrition.
  • Experience as an athlete or coach.
