Commercial Construction Project Manager

Job Description:
A Project Manager (PM) is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing all aspects of a construction project. This includes ensuring timely completion, staying within budget, and meeting quality standards. The PM serves as the liaison between project team members, promoting the interests of both the business and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain adherence to HITT's safety standards, ensuring required documentation is filed
- Create and manage project budgets for assigned projects
- Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages
- Conduct project meetings, setting milestones and formulating monthly owner reports
- Establish job processes, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications, and approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders
- Perform project scheduling, ensuring quality control and establishing overall project logistics
- Manage the closeout process efficiently
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how our services can meet those needs
- Supervise assistant operations support roles, such as assistant project managers, administrative assistants, MEP managers, and safety team members
- Collaborate with project superintendents and site operations teams throughout the project's life cycle
- High school diploma required; a four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
- In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
- Previous experience in a project management role, with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office suite and ProCore
- Mastery of reading construction drawings, including reading, interpreting, and updating project-related drawings
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time, to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
- Knowledge of current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to lead, communicate clearly, and take initiative
- Demonstrate integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT's core values
