About the Job

Nurses First Solutions is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Tacoma, Washington.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to work in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and in good working condition.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items needed during surgery.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and adjust instruments and equipment accordingly.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control procedures.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room and position them on the operating table.
  • Assist with the preparation and application of sterile dressings and bandages.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment used.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after surgery.
Requirements
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
  • 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
