Assemblage Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assembler - Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Blackstone Advanced Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components, verifying specifications, and resolving assembly problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
• Assemble components by fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot as required.
• Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss with supervisor or manufacturing engineer.
• Responsible for handling material at work station and maintaining a clean working station.
• Knowledge of hand tools, rivet gun, drill, and ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, protractors, and machinist squares.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with little or no assistance and occasionally lift and/or move greater weights with mechanical assistance.

Salary: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
