Job Overview:

The Construction Coatings Manager is tasked with supervising the daily operations at construction sites, ensuring that projects are executed within the established budget and timeline. This role reports directly to the Construction Manager and collaborates closely with contractors, subcontractors, and various stakeholders involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily construction operations to ensure timely project advancement.
  • Oversee workforce scheduling and the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors to address contract-related issues and implement necessary modifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and testing laboratories to meet project timelines.
  • Assist in drafting project-related documentation and professional communications.
  • Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract obligations.
  • Implement corrective measures as needed through formal notices for non-compliance or deviations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing across all trades and provide oversight to foremen.
  • Assess the efficiency of operations in terms of quality and productivity.
  • Proactively address any quality or productivity issues through formal notifications.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in project management.
  • The ability to interpret and apply plans, specifications, contracts, and relevant laws and codes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and client relationships.
  • The capability to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • The willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

Working Conditions:

The role may involve:

  • Traveling to project sites as necessary.
  • Variable work hours based on project demands and deadlines.
  • Working outdoors, with potential exposure to adverse weather conditions, construction environments, and heavy machinery.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:

  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb stairs and ladders as needed.
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces.
