Key Responsibilities

* Accurately take orders from and serve wine, draft or bottled beer and mixed drinks to customers or servers
* Prepare and serve beverages, including mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters
* Collect money for drinks served and follow point-of-sale procedures accurately
* Maintain outlet liquor inventory and order or requisition liquors and supplies as needed
* Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays and slice and pit fruits for garnishing drinks
* Balance an individual cash drawer and perform other duties as assigned

Barback Responsibilities

* Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer
* Wash glasses, bar, and equipment, polish bar fixtures, and mop floors
* Remove empty bottles, trash, and return dirty ashtrays to the bar or kitchen
* Mix and prepare flavors for mixed drinks and develop knowledge of beverage service

Beverage Server Responsibilities

* Collect drink orders, present orders to Bartender, add garnish, place on tray, and serve to patrons with napkins and receipt
* Compute bills and accept payment

Additional Responsibilities

* Request identification from customers when legal age is questioned
* Be well-versed in all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and laws for the State of Indiana, Tropicana Evansville, and the Beverage Department
* Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time (7+ hours) and use stairwells or service elevator to go from floor to floor
* Lift up to 35 lbs and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* One to three months' related experience and/or training
* Ability to work with the public presenting a clean, courteous image
* Possess and maintain an Indiana Liquor License and obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming license

Working Conditions

* Work in an environment with second-hand smoke and loud noises
* Work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends
