Key Responsibilities- Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times, reduce scrap and waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Provide effective leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure successful project execution.
- Quality and Productivity: Utilize statistical process control and other quality tools to monitor and improve process performance, and identify opportunities for productivity gains.
- Financial Analysis: Develop financial justifications for capital equipment and process changes, and analyze cost savings opportunities.
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or metals industry.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD/CAM software, experience with project management and industrial engineering methods, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing: Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, including value stream mapping, time standards, line balancing, and plant floor layout.
- Quality Tools and Safety Regulations: Knowledge and experience with quality tools and relevant safety regulations.
- ERP or MRP Software: Experience with ERP or MRP software.
