Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with medication histories and verify patient medication records accurately.
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Prepare and compound pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products, with precision and attention to detail.
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain accurate records as required by law and institutional policies.
- Provide efficient and timely services, ensuring that daily activities are complete and recorded.
- Maintain competency and licensure requirements, including IV certification and CE records.
- Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities, collecting data and conducting monitors and inspections as assigned.
- Conduct designated interventions, such as IV to PO conversions, renal dosing, and pharmacokinetic dosing support.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- ACPE accredited IV certification program, including hazardous (minimum 40 hours); or meet minimum State requirement.
