Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead the Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) across our organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic development, management, and clinical operations of the CVSL, ensuring seamless integration of services across our health system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the CVSL, aligning with our organization's vision and goals.
  • Lead and represent the CVSL at the CommonSpirit Health national level, fostering partnerships with regional and national clinical partners.
  • Collaborate with Executive Division Directors and FMG leaders to drive accountability for administering clinical quality and delivery of exceptional patient-centric care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, including integration of employed and independent physician groups with CVSL protocols and other quality improvement plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership in the development and implementation of the CVSL strategic growth plan and annual budgets.
  • Work with the Executive Division Director and FMG leadership to build an integrated culture across medical staff, hospitals, departments, and clinics to advance access, quality, safety, patient experience, provider satisfaction, and to build/strengthen strategic position.
  • Provide support, clinical expertise, and collaboration with providers and acute and ambulatory leaders to improve the patient experience for those patients in the care of the CVSL based on opportunities identified through survey data, provider feedback, and other sources.
  • Advises and assists with engagement initiatives to enhance and improve staff and provider engagement consistent with organizational goals.
  • Serves as CVLC Chair and co-leader of the Service Line Strategic Leadership Committee (governance committee); participates as an active member of all CVSL subcommittees and other committees as directed by Executive Division Director and senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum 0.1 FTE as a clinician and subject to an active provider contract.
  • Strong partnership with FMG leaders to drive accountability for administering clinical quality and delivery of exceptional patient-centric care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Executive Division Directors, FMG leaders, and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
