Overview of Role:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is essential in delivering compassionate care and support to patients, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.

This role involves direct patient interaction and requires a commitment to maintaining dignity and respect for all individuals.


Responsibilities to Patients:

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) using the designated charting forms.
* a. Aid in bathing and personal hygiene.
* b. Support dressing and undressing.
* c. Facilitate oral hygiene.
* d. Provide nail care.
* e. Assist with shaving or provide assistance as needed.
* f. Offer care for incontinence.
* g. Transfer patients safely using appropriate techniques.
* h. Assist with toileting needs.
* i. Aid in meal support and feeding.
* j. Monitor patient intake and output as instructed.
* k. Measure and record vital signs.
* l. Provide range of motion exercises as directed.
* m. Assist with patient mobility.
* n. Maintain cleanliness in patient areas.
* o. Ensure accurate documentation on required forms.

  • Stay attentive to patient needs at all times.
  • Respond promptly to call lights.
  • Provide restorative care as instructed.
  • Address both physical and emotional needs of patients.
  • Uphold privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Assist with the admission process and orientation of new patients.
  • Respect and support patients' religious beliefs.
*Responsibilities to the Facility: •Embrace the philosophy of Advanced Health Care in all tasks.

  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in emergency drills as required.
  • Engage in facility activities and committees when possible.
*Responsibilities to Colleagues:

  • Arrive on time and complete timekeeping accurately. Overtime requires prior approval.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in various roles.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate relevant issues to the charge nurse or supervisor promptly.
  • Encourage and support fellow team members.
  • Accept constructive feedback positively.
  • Welcome and assist new staff members.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Be open to additional responsibilities as assigned.
*Responsibilities to Other Departments: •Maintain effective communication with staff from other departments and respond to requests in a timely manner.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Compensation:
$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
