About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, and maintain client confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting
  • Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors
  • Partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors
  • Engage actively with children with physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children ages 0-18 years in a daycare or classroom setting
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment
  • A passion about helping children with autism and making a real difference in their lives
  • Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the past year)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
