We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Float Pool Nurse PRN to join our team at North Texas Float Pool. As a key member of our surgical care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities to provide surgical care services
- Demonstrate expertise in surgical procedures and oversee instrument and equipment set-up, preparation, and maintenance
- Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience
- Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures, utilizing preference cards and updating as necessary
- Relay accurate hand-off communication to PACU staff to ensure continuity of care
- Nursing Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
- Valid BCLS & ACLS Certifications required upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
- PALS certification within 90 days of employment or earlier per department arrangement
- CNOR certification preferred
