Position Overview: As a Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager, you will engage closely with clients to gather requirements, analyze use cases, and design technical solutions that facilitate the implementation of the Beacon Platform. You will collaborate with Sales and Account Managers, Client Engineers, Solution Architects, Client and Prospect Developers, and End Users to scope, plan, lead, and execute client-facing Proof of Concept and Implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from business end users, quants, and engineers, both client-facing and internally, through workshops and in-depth sessions.
- Analyze technical use cases and conduct gap analysis to identify necessary changes.
- Create workflow charts and diagrams, along with as-is and to-be specifications.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, considering both business and architectural perspectives.
- Document system and functional specifications for engineering teams and client engagements.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including project definition, scope, resource planning, business analysis, technical design, development, testing, training, and project closure.
- Communicate effectively across various mediums and levels within Beacon and client organizations to ensure transparent status reporting, change management, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate and proactively manage internal Beacon teams' activities related to projects.
- Mitigate Project Risk through collaborative removal of blockers and issues.
- Contribute to Beacon's Project Management organization by sharing best practices and enhancing client management.
- 5-10 years of experience in PM/BA roles delivering pricing, risk, analytic, or development platform solutions.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and workflows.
- Ability to listen, engage, challenge, and probe clients during requirement gathering to ensure accurate translation of needs and design of future states.
- Proven experience in business analysis and designing technical solutions for PaaS/SaaS.
- Capability to present technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
- Track record of managing full lifecycle projects on client-facing assignments lasting 6 months or more.
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a friendly demeanor, adaptable to changing priorities.
- Positive attitude with a proven ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management Certification: PMP, Prince 2.
- Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, or Developer.
- Familiarity with SecDB, Athena, or Quartz.
