Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of organizational and technical skills. As a Capital Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and renovation of multiple properties, including managing and directing a team of service staff, coordinating with outside contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct a team of service staff to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure high-quality work and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize the need for emergency repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Community Director to ensure that properties are maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to support maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Develop and implement a safety program to minimize the risk of injury to staff and residents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; EPA certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and renovation, including experience with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety regulations and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and adverse weather. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, sitting, pushing, and climbing stairs, among other physical demands.
