Job Title: Construction Manager

At AFG Group, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for providing construction management services in support of work associated with projects on the Advanced Acquisition Plan and other inserted projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design documents and/or scopes of work for Architectural and Engineering services, Design/Build services, and construction work.
  • Perform site investigation of project sites to gather essential data for new or renovation work.
  • Provide in-house civil and structural engineering advice and reviews.
  • Update enterprise database system for budgeting, project execution, and construction submittal reviews.
  • Coordinate with site contacts and multi-discipline design team members.
  • Conduct conceptual design meetings with in-house and site personnel.
  • Provide support services to architectural and engineering designers in Coast Guard specific project documentation functions.
  • Review and comment on submittals, requests for information, and work schedules as submitted by construction contractors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or registration as a professional electrical engineer in a state, District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, Architect, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) in their industry-standard professional licensure related to position highly desirable.
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in the construction management field.
  • Trained and skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, computer-aided design (CAD), and database materials and programs to perform the detailed activities of this task order.
