Landscaping and Property Maintenance Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Landscaping and Property Maintenance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and physical integrity of our property, enhancing its curb appeal.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the Northside Scattered Sites development, including landscaping and property upkeep.
- Assist Agency staff in managing the property to provide a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of manual labor experience related to the duties of the position.
- The ability to perform heavy manual labor, outdoors, and in inclement weather.
- Skill and knowledge in the safe operation of power tools and equipment, such as floor buffers, power washers, snow blowers, leaf blowers, chain saws, lawn mowers, trimmers, pickup truck, sprayers, etc.
- Some knowledge of proper procedures for planting and maintaining grass, trees, shrubs, and other forms of vegetation.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to assist in providing after-hours/emergency coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to consistently follow safe work procedures, read, comprehend, and follow written work instructions, work orders, and written instructions for the use of equipment and supplies.
- Ability to clean vacant apartments prior to move-in; cleaning may include sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, appliances, cabinets, sinks, showers, toilets, etc.
- Ability to be aware of the physical conditions of Authority property and immediately report any unsafe conditions, such as broken steps, windows, burned-out exterior lights, inoperable smoke detectors, gas leaks, etc.
Your total compensation includes a competitive salary, medical plans, dental plan, vision plan, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts for medical or dependent care, paid time off (vacation, sick, personal, and holidays), and a 401a contribution equal to 12.7% of annual salary. The SLHA is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
