Job Summary:

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Ensure that new software integrations meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
  • Track and report on quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's Degree; four years of software development, testing, or similar experience may be used in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Four or more years of experience as a software developer, tester, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience with Cucumber.
  • Experience with data validation testing.
  • Understanding of accessibility compliance, 508/WCAG.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and tools like Figma.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., CAST, CSQA, ISTQB).
  • Proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, JUnit).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes in GitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding of API testing and tools like Postman (CLI) Newman.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
