Sierra Donor Services, a renowned organ procurement organization within the DCI Donor Services family, is seeking an experienced In-House Recovery Coordinator to join their team. This dynamic role plays a pivotal part in saving lives through organ and tissue donation.


As a registered nurse (RN) with a background in ICU or critical care settings, you will oversee the complex process of procuring life-saving organs. Collaborating closely with medical staff, you will assess organ compatibility for recipients and expedite surgical and technical processes to ensure timely and safe transplantation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
  • Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
  • Assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics such as arranging transportation and preparing lab specimens for shipment.
  • Support donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve donation metrics, protocols, and policy.
  • Develop and present hospital educational programs and status reports based on strategic goals.


Requirements

  • Two years of experience in a critical care setting.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Registered Nursing (RN) License.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.

  • $86,400 Yearly Salary.
