Job Overview:

The Cybersecurity Risk Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the operational security posture of an information system, collaborating closely with the ISSM and ISO. This involves maintaining physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ISSM in meeting their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare, review, and update authorization packages to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Establish procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media, ensuring alignment with approved standards.
  • Notify the ISSM of any changes that might impact the authorization determination of information systems.
  • Conduct regular reviews of information systems to verify adherence to security authorization packages.
  • Collaborate with the ISSM and AO/DAO on hardware, software, or firmware modifications to a system, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to guarantee the restoration of security features and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date IS security-related documentation, accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Collect, review, and document audit records, including any anomalies.
  • Attend relevant technical and security training to enhance assigned duties.
  • Execute the cybersecurity portion of self-inspections, providing security coordination and reviewing system assessment plans.
  • Identify cyber vulnerabilities and assist in implementing countermeasures.
  • Compile reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of in-house and external customers.
  • Conduct security impact analysis activities and provide results to the ISSM on configuration management changes to authorization boundaries.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree, TS/SCI Clearance, and 2-5 years of related experience, particularly in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence. SAP experience and DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II (in lieu of IAT Level II) training are also highly valued.

Estimated Salary: $54,580 per year (based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks of work per year)
