Job Overview

The Neuropsychologist role encompasses a combination of direct patient interaction and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team at the USC Brain Health Network.

This position is crucial for enhancing our research initiatives focused on brain health and language rehabilitation. The Neuropsychologist will be expected to engage in both research and educational responsibilities within the department.

Key Responsibilities:


Alongside providing direct patient care and counseling services, the Neuropsychologist will offer care and consultation for patients referred to the USC Brain Health Network.

They will analyze clinical assessment data and provide recommendations for patient care and treatment planning.

The Neuropsychologist will work in partnership with Primary Care Physicians and Behavioral Neurologists to ensure that patients within the USC Brain Health Network receive optimal and coordinated care, adhering to the highest clinical standards.

They will conduct pioneering research in neuropsychology, concentrating on brain health and language recovery, employing neuroimaging techniques and AI methodologies to enhance research outcomes.

Furthermore, the Neuropsychologist will collaborate with colleagues within the department and across various disciplines to promote a multidisciplinary approach to research.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or a related discipline.
  • Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience at the university level.
  • Experience in securing research funding.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary research collaborations.
  • Strong research background with an emphasis on brain health and language recovery.
  • Proficiency in neuroimaging methodologies.
  • Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Effective communication and teaching abilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic setting.
