Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Beaumont Urgent Care. As the first point of contact between patients and clinical staff, this role plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-in and Verification: Greet patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays and balances in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Front Office Operations: Maintain the readiness of the reception area, perform clerical tasks, and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect each patient's financial responsibility, and assist with billing and collection processes.
  • Support for Physicians and Office Operations: Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations, including obtaining and documenting patient history, and understanding and enforcing standard healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality, and ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prefer at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting, with urgent care experience preferred but not required.
  • Schedule: Ability to work 8am to 8pm, 3 days/week, rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Skills: Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
