Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-in and Verification: Greet patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays and balances in a professional and courteous manner.
- Front Office Operations: Maintain the readiness of the reception area, perform clerical tasks, and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect each patient's financial responsibility, and assist with billing and collection processes.
- Support for Physicians and Office Operations: Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations, including obtaining and documenting patient history, and understanding and enforcing standard healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality, and ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prefer at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting, with urgent care experience preferred but not required.
- Schedule: Ability to work 8am to 8pm, 3 days/week, rotating weekends and holidays.
- Skills: Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
