Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physician Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide primary care and obstetric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, practicing full scope internal medicine. You will deliver care to a resilient patient population that is ethnically diverse and medically complex, with the aim of achieving optimal health outcomes for every patient.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care that supports our aim for improved health outcomes, exceptional patient experience, and efficient use of resources.
  • Medical Care and Treatment: Perform routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to patients, determining appropriate regimens and prescribing medications, treatments, or therapies as needed.
  • Communication and Education: Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members, and analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment.
  • Cultural Humility and Diversity: Deliver well and chronic disease care with cultural humility to a diverse patient population of all ages, fostering a positive rapport with patients and families.
  • Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of the cross-functional team of providers, consulting with mid-levels on the assessment, management, and treatment of complicated cases, chart review, co-signing, and case conferences.
  • Quality Improvement: Suggest improvements for clinic flow, patient scheduling, and service delivery, collaborating professionally with interdisciplinary team members.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: MD/DO degree from a recognized University, with one to two years of experience working in a primary care clinic setting. Requires board certification in Internal Medicine or be board eligible and become board certified within 2 years of employment.
  • Licensure and Credentials: Valid California license and DEA, with a current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate. You will have a 30-day grace period to obtain your certificate from the date of hire.
  • Language Proficiency: English/Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
