They possess a holistic perspective, capable of making difficult choices to advance their team and adept at navigating uncertainty to establish clear goals and direction. A comprehensive understanding of the medical technology sector, regulatory frameworks, and experience with quality management systems is advantageous but not mandatory. We believe that exceptional product leaders adapt swiftly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unit Leadership: Collaborate as part of a product leadership team alongside counterparts in design and engineering. Ensure that the teams within the unit operate efficiently to deliver valuable solutions for users and meet business objectives.
  • User-Centric Approach: Gain deep insights into the needs of our users, including healthcare professionals and patients, through direct engagement, research, and feedback. Ensure our products address genuine issues and provide measurable value.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to facilitate smooth product development and launches. Promote a collaborative atmosphere that encourages the exchange of ideas and best practices.
  • Product Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the complete product lifecycle, from conception and development to launch and post-launch refinement. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that satisfy market needs.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data and analytics to guide product decisions, monitor performance, and drive ongoing enhancements. Establish metrics to evaluate product success and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Team Mentorship: Guide and develop a high-performing team of product managers. Offer support, mentorship, and avenues for professional advancement.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies. Utilize this knowledge to shape product strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with executive leadership, stakeholders, and customers. Provide regular updates on product developments, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Product Culture Development: Foster a robust product culture that emphasizes rapid testing, learning from failures, and the importance of partnerships between product design and engineering.
  • Strategic Product Execution: Convert our product vision into a coherent strategy with actionable steps. Ensure your team comprehends their objectives and how they align with the broader goals of the organization.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of industry experience in product management or related fields (project management, operations, engineering, account management, etc.).
  • At least 4 years of experience in a senior product management role or similar leadership position (project management, operations, engineering, etc.).
  • Other Considerations: Willingness to travel (domestic and international). Availability for meetings with team members across various time zones.

Desirable:

  • Proven track record as a product manager who has successfully delivered products in a dynamic, high-growth environment; your experience extends beyond theoretical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with experience in developing product teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the capacity to engage constructively with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments where autonomy is essential to achieving objectives.
  • A proactive attitude and the capability to manage frequently changing priorities.
