Job Description

At Texas Capital Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager II to join our Credit Administration team. This role is critical to the success of our business, and we are looking for a talented individual who can drive strategic vision and lead our team to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit-related responsibilities for analysts and associates, including financial statement analysis and underwriting model validation.
  • Conduct risk rating assessments and periodic relationship reviews to ensure optimal portfolio performance.
  • Partner with relationship managers to review and negotiate credit agreements.
  • Own all credit approvals, including new customers, modifications, renewals, increases, and risk assessments.
  • Identify key risks and issues pertinent to each credit request, including potential mitigants for identified risks.
  • Manage policy exceptions and direct portfolio reviews to ensure accurate reporting of credit exposure.
  • Validate covenant compliance and covenant management to ensure optimal portfolio performance.
  • Own post-approval modifications to ensure accurate reporting of credit exposure.
  • Provide exceptional client management, including day-to-day needs, contact meetings, and site visits.
  • Oversight and in-depth analysis of macroeconomic conditions, industry trends, and changes in lending practices.
  • Own portfolio reporting and analytics, including grade-migration, past-dues, exceptions, and coming-due maturities.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Partner with the Special Assets Group for credit requests as needed.
  • Lead and/or support key initiatives to drive improvements in the delivery of credit solutions for clients and prospects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Banking, or equivalent/relevant program.
  • 5+ years' experience in Commercial or Corporate Banking with formal Credit training.
  • Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.
  • Effective team players who want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, to produce reports, memos, and presentations.
  • Passion for financial services and delivering superior client experiences.
  • Proven leadership skills and community involvement.
