Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Elder Care Services

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Elder Care Services team at the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our elderly residents, working under the direction of our Executive Director and Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned residents
  • Observe, document, and report residents' conditions and reactions to administered medications and treatments
  • Prepare, administer, and record medications and treatments per provider's orders and in accordance with established protocols
  • Assist with treatment, examination, and testing of residents as needed
  • Participate in team conferences and share knowledge, information, and ideas among team members
  • Participate in hospice/end-of-life care
  • Record information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner in the resident record
  • Assist in ordering supplies and relevant health education for residents and their families

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Minimum one year experience in elder care within the last four years
  • Demonstrable triage and assessment skills
  • Experience and/or ability to work with an Electronic Medical Health Record System
  • Intermediate computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and other relevant policies

Working Environment:

The work environment is a moderate noise level, with frequent employee contacts and interruptions during the day. The physical exertion is low to moderate, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, perform one-person transfers under routine and emergency situations, and reposition a bedbound patient alone.
