Staff Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Breast Medical Oncology team at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to individuals with breast cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in oncology care.
- Foster a culture of excellence, respect, and compassion, promoting a positive work environment and exceptional patient experience.
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa by the time of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- General computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing highly desired.
- Oncology experience and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., OCN, BCNS) highly valued.
- Previous experience with electronic health records and other healthcare technology systems.
