Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse III to join our Hematology/Oncology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their episode of care, with a focus on progress toward discharge.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse will:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized plans of care, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • At least 3 years of experience in oncology/hematology nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
