Weld Inspector

Eaton's IS AER FED division is seeking a skilled Weld Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for inspecting dimensions to print for our ducting value stream, upholding the quality and integrity of all manufactured parts, and supporting operations to meet internal and external goals.
Key Responsibilities- Visually and manually inspect manufactured parts to ensure they meet acceptance criteria
- Dimensionally inspect manufactured parts using CMM or advanced measuring techniques
- Read and interpret advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical specifications
- Record and document all inspection findings, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- Participate in 5S+ initiatives to maintain a clean and organized working area
- Uphold quality integrity and generate non-conformance reports when parts do not meet specifications
- Work with MFG-PRO to process parts systematically and WISPER for DMR generations
- Use hand tools, including gage R and R, and material analysis processing
- Read and interpret advanced blueprints, reverse engineer prints, and establish inspection methodology
- Operate advanced operating systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Apply shop mathematical skills to inspect or generate programs for CNC/CMM inspection
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) minimum
- 5 years of work experience
- 3 years of quality experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position
- Associate Degree or technical certification preferred
- Experience working with inspection plans, first piece layout, FAIR's, mil certs, and COC's
- Advance Blueprint reading, GD & T, and CMM training/certification is a plus
- Knowledge of scanning and programming from solid models, Mitutoyo, and MCOSMOS software is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Basic mathematical calculations and organizational skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Must be able to stand/walk 8+ hours/day
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material
