Position Overview:

A Quality Assurance Inspector is required for a prominent multinational power management firm. This role involves the inspection and validation of manufactured components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.

Location: Beltsville, Maryland

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $25.85 per hour

Work Schedule: 8 AM to 4 PM

Education Required: High School Diploma

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual and manual inspections of manufactured components according to established acceptance criteria.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, assembly drawings, and advanced measuring techniques to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Develop First Article Inspection (FAI) and inspection plan documentation utilizing standard templates and drawings.
  • Document all inspection findings throughout the receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages, initiating Fast Response procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain and achieve relevant certifications, including plating inspection, welding inspection, general inspection, and hardness testing.
  • Engage in 5S+ initiatives to uphold cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
  • Ensure quality integrity by generating non-conformance reports for components that do not meet required specifications.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
