Job Summary:

InfraSource Underground Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Asphalt Laborer to join our team. As an Asphalt Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and line out areas for paving jobs
  • Use rakes, lutes, and shovels to dump, shovel, and level asphalt on job sites
  • Rake, sweep, roll, and inspect asphalt, and repeat as necessary
  • Sweep and clean the area
  • Assist the operator as needed, and seal patches as required
  • Prepare work sites for concrete pours, using shovels and other hand tools
  • Backfill areas with sub-grade materials and compact to level the work area
  • Set concrete forms, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch with the help of a lead or foreman
  • Ensure cement mixtures are safely handled, properly poured, and finished free of cracks and imperfections with the help of a lead or foreman
  • Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools with the help of a lead or foreman
  • Remove and clean forms, boards, and stakes once the job is complete
  • Clean tools and ensure debris is removed from the work site
  • Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Paid on-the-job technical and professional training

  • Ability to demonstrate that safety is a core value and prove that you are capable at consistently performing at the highest level
  • Construction labor experience with concrete and asphalt
  • Willing and able to work in outdoor elements
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift to 100 pounds
  • Preferred CDL license
