Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining store appearance, and assisting with daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Operate the point-of-sale system, accurately processing transactions and handling customer payments
  • Maintain store appearance, including stocking merchandise, cleaning, and organizing store displays
  • Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising
  • Work collaboratively with store management and colleagues to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
  • At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
