Job Title: Security Officer - Hospital

Job Summary:

Allied Universal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at a hospital in Pulaski, Virginia. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Deter crime and provide order and control during the shift within the boundaries of the assigned post.
  • Patrol the facility or stand a post as instructed and serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions.
  • Respond to all incidents as dispatched providing assistance as needed, protecting personnel and property within reason and securing the incident scene until properly relieved.
  • Conduct initial investigation of incidents and complete all appropriate reports.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age; 21 for Armed or Taser positions.
  • High school diploma, College Degree, or GED. Education must be verifiable through the background vendor.
  • Must have 5 years of work experience within the last 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years verifiable work history.
  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
  • Driving Positions Only: Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
