About the Role:
Soliant is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to support a diverse caseload of students across multiple K-12 campuses. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations for students to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessments to inform educational planning and support.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as needed.
- Intervention and Support:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students' emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Offer guidance and support to help students manage stress, improve social skills, and achieve academic goals.
- Consultation and Collaboration:
- Work with school teams to identify and address learning and behavioral issues within the classroom setting.
- Provide training and support to educators on psychological and behavioral topics.
- Serve as a resource for parents, offering strategies and recommendations to support their child's development.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Prepare and submit reports as required for school records, meetings, and compliance purposes.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with best practices and research in school psychology and related fields.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certification:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school psychologist, preferably with K-12 experience.
- Experience with a caseload that includes both mild and severe needs.
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
