POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the creation and design of molds using ceramic substances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze work orders to determine required tools.
  • Maintain mold tools and apply release agents as necessary.
  • Load mold tools with ceramic material, inject gas, and cure the mandrel.
  • Utilize hand tools to remove tooling from the ceramic mandrel.
  • Sand, polish, and correct imperfections prior to the layup phase.
  • Clean ceramic from composite components after the layup process.
  • Remove tape and debris from the interior of ducts.
  • Take responsibility for personal work output.
  • Carry out additional relevant tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma, equivalent certification, or bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.

0-6 months of experience in composites or a related area is essential.

This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, subject to applicable terms and conditions. Textron Aviation retains the right to amend or discontinue this program at any time.

Become part of the Textron Aviation Kansas team and may qualify for a Kansas state Aviation tax credit over a five-year period.
