We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Lineman II to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable, including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction.
  • Perform aerial cable installation procedures and techniques, including the placement of poles and anchors.
  • Operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more, safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in directing traffic flow in accordance with local and state DOT guidelines.
  • Responsible for daily production reports and maintaining proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment.
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class "A" driver's license.
  • Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call.
