Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, analyzing results, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and perform MRI procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Analyze imaging results and identify any issues with image quality, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment as necessary.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting any changes in status.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshooting and resolving any malfunctions as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Radiography certification (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology certification and registration (N) or Radiation Therapy certification and registration (RT) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or any American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification through ARRT or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARMRIT) is required within 18 months of hire.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association.
  • Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearance certificates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as a MRI Technologist.
