AmeriGas, the largest propane distributor in the United States, is actively seeking safety-conscious and customer-oriented Service Technicians.

If you are searching for a rewarding career with a well-known industry leader, AmeriGas Propane is looking for a dynamic and service-focused individual to take on the role of Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities

As a local Service Technician, you will be essential in the installation and maintenance of propane tanks for our clientele, ensuring top-notch safety and customer service standards. Your duties will include:

  • Safely driving a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along designated service routes.
  • Conducting repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential clients.
  • Installing new propane tanks and systems for various customers.
  • Performing Delivery Representative tasks as needed, including the delivery of bulk or canister propane.
  • Executing all daily operations safely, adhering to federal and state regulations as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies.
  • Consistently utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Working 8 to 12-hour shifts based on operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

The compensation for this position ranges from $31.50 to $32.50, based on various factors including skills, qualifications, and prior experience. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses or commissions.
