Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the biodiesel Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • Assist in managing production processes within the biodiesel manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct quality control assessments on various products including oil, biodiesel, glycerin, and fatty acids.
  • Implement and enhance quality control measures throughout the biodiesel production process.
  • Ensure compliance with BQ-9000 standards for production and shipping documentation.
  • Manage inventory of production supplies and materials.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facility equipment.
  • Generate and review daily operational reports.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and encourage compliance among team members.
  • Assist in the manufacturing and packaging of specialty oil products.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in load-out operations, with a strong background in shipping and receiving.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
  • Ability to operate various plant machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with biodiesel processing and BQ-9000 compliance.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and color differentiation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment:
