Position: Bakery Assistant Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly
Reports To: Bakery Manager
As a Bakery Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Bakery Department Manager, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service in our bakery.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Assist in managing bakery operations and lead the team in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
- Training: Onboard and train new bakery staff, emphasizing our pastry products and service standards.
- Operational Management: Maintain high standards in cleanliness, quality, and safety while managing inventory and pricing.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service by assisting customers, taking special orders, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Team Support: Foster a positive work environment by setting a good example and assisting team members with daily tasks.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other department managers to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.
- Administrative Duties: Oversee timekeeping and communicate with HR regarding scheduling.
- Teamwork: Participate in additional tasks as needed to support the bakery team.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with bakery operations and technology.
- Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety standards and willingness to pursue necessary training.
- Certification: WI Certified Food Manager License is required (cost covered by the company if needed).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Capability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
This is a full-time hourly position with a schedule that includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
