Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in the development of products by applying human factors engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, direct, and execute human factors engineering activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of human factors engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct usability testing, analysis, and evaluation to identify user needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and design expertise to ensure human factors considerations are integrated into product development.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and other functions.
Requirements
  • 10 years of human factors/usability experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading human factors/usability in new product development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Factors Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience developing regulated medical devices.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality regulations and FDA guidance.
  • Track record of interdisciplinary collaboration.
