Your Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care within your assigned unit, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will execute all technical nursing duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures of AdventHealth Ocala. You will manage the care of your assigned patients and oversee the activities of ancillary staff, potentially serving as a charge nurse and assisting physicians as needed.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status in your designated nursing unit, ensuring all assessments are completed within the timeframe set by policy and unit standards. Document ongoing assessments and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans based on assessment data, updating these plans as necessary.
  • Direct and coordinate patient care activities to ensure high-quality service delivery. Communicate care plans effectively to team members and document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
  • Provide patient education tailored to assessed needs and evaluate their understanding.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Current RN License in Florida
  • BLS Certification
