Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for nursing, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
  • Lead the design and implementation of assigned business plans, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop and measure performance standards, promoting excellence in patient care.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovative patient care delivery and current research findings.
  • Develop and mentor nurse leaders and direct staff to achieve hospital goals, nursing objectives, and nursing practice standards.
  • Measure budgetary performance against standards, ensuring variances are within targets.
Requirements
  • BSN and master's degree in nursing, business administration, or healthcare administration.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership within a large academic healthcare system.
  • Working knowledge of national quality databases such as NDNQI and UHC.
  • Experience leading nurses and being an advocate for nursing.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, manage multiple demands, and multitask.
