Responsibilities and Expectations
* Develop and maintain a high-performing team of General Managers who deliver results across all club functions, including operations, sales, and fitness. Foster a collaborative, positive work environment that supports professional growth of club-level staff. Provide clear expectations, monitor behaviors, and offer consistent coaching and performance management feedback. Identify performance strengths and gaps to maximize the potential of your GMs. Participate in succession planning sessions to build a bench of GM and department head talent. Model leadership behaviors aligned with company values and culture, including accountability, consistency, integrity, respect, and recognition. Conduct weekly leadership calls to build a collaborative team and set consistent goals across clubs in the district. Maintain accurate team member data and reporting in Paylocity, audit labor spend and scheduling, and performance documentation. Establish and maintain consistent communication plans, processes, and cadence of workflow. Assist GMs with employee relations concerns and resolutions. Analyze data and metrics to drive business decisions. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive membership growth. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Provide support and guidance to GMs as needed. Help implement process improvements. Monitor and report on key performance indicators. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Foster open communication and collaboration among team members. Encourage innovation and creativity. Evaluate and address any issues related to employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention. Use data to inform business decisions. Identify areas for process improvement. Work with HR to develop training programs. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide input on strategic planning initiatives. Attend meetings and events as required. Keep accurate records of conversations and actions taken. Represent the company in a professional manner. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
