Job Summary

The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus.
  • Supervise ancillary staff and educate patients, family/significant other on wellness, prevention, and management of endocrine disorders.
  • Collaborate with attending endocrinologists to coordinate and direct care of patients within the specialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
  • Identify at-risk patients and provide evidence-based nutrition and disease-specific educational interventions.
  • Coordinate care with team members and prevent avoidable utilization and adverse outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in endocrinology and diabetes management.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with EMR software preferred.
  • Ability to fully utilize KJMC's electronic record systems, equipment, and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
