Our client is currently seeking a meticulous Property Accountant to join their vibrant team.Reporting directly to the Controller, the ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting operations for a real estate portfolio, with an emphasis on multifamily entities.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for close collaboration with senior management and the opportunity to gain invaluable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily accounting activities, including accounts payable review, cash management, and wire transfers.
Lead the monthly general ledger closing process and prepare workpapers, ensuring precision and compliance.
Compile monthly reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders.
Manage cash flow forecasts to meet operational and investor requirements.
Collaborate with the real estate team to formulate and maintain annual budgets.
Review tax returns to ensure consistency with financial records.
Prepare local and state filings as necessary.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of accounting experience with a focus on real estate.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritization and time management.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with Yardi or similar real estate general ledger systems is preferred.
Compensation:
$90,000 - $110,000 base salary range
