Key Responsibilities

Altec Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for overseeing and managing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing essential support to both customers and suppliers.

Core Duties

  • Evaluate and categorize invoices and expense reports for timely payment
  • Conduct audits on expenses and payables to guarantee compliance and cost efficiency, reporting any discrepancies as needed
  • Finalize and oversee Accounts Receivable invoicing processes
  • Manage warranty claim credit processing
  • Assist in the monthly closing of accounts receivable and payable
  • Deliver assistance and support to customers and suppliers as required
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts accurately
  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly financial reports as necessary
  • Maintain comprehensive customer credit files, including conversion of financials to US currency and data entry for ratio calculations
  • Calculate applicable taxes, including GST and VAT
  • Analyze work-in-progress (WIP) jobs
  • Examine and interpret Gross Margin reports
  • Support customer setup processes and conduct export control assessments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • High School Diploma or GED mandatory
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance mandatory
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience mandatory
