Job Overview

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in behavior support services to lead our team in providing comprehensive care to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Behavioral Therapist Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing behavioral support plans, training staff members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement behavioral support strategies that meet the unique needs of each individual
  • Provide training to Program Supervisors, Program Coordinators, and Direct Support Professionals on implementing formal comprehensive behavior support plans
  • Monitor and modify behavioral support plans to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Act as a liaison between APluscare, clients, families, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Extensive experience working in racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities with developmental disabilities
  • Strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and flexibility to assume significant responsibility
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
  • A valid Driver's License
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and qualifications. APluscare offers competitive compensation and benefits packages to its employees.
