Job Title: Program Coordinator

Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating an employment-based youth development program for youth ages 14-17 residing or attending school in the Chinatown and North Beach Districts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare program participants for subsidized employment at nonprofit and public sector placements
  • Develop and facilitate workshops to meet program learning objectives
  • Outreach, recruit, and certify youth participants
  • Compile monthly reports and correct timesheets for program participants
  • Check in with each individual participant on a regular basis
  • Conduct case management and develop individualized transition plans
  • Recruit worksites to host program participants
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with worksites, community leaders, and stakeholders
  • Supervise youth leaders, youth interns, and part-time adult program staff
  • Meet with staff from collaborating agencies
  • Support program and agency-wide events
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of youth development experience or experience in nonprofit direct services or related field
  • Demonstrate clear and effective facilitation skills
  • Experience and ability to work with diverse populations of youth
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required
  • Knowledge of the needs of youth involved with the juvenile justice system
  • Experience building professional relationships
  • Have exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing timelines
  • Competency with PC-based software including Microsoft Office and various Adobe software
  • Knowledge of youth programs, schools, and resources in San Francisco
  • Commitment to taking regular Covid-19 health tests as required by program health and safety guidelines and/or current health directives
